Program Information

Image result for image missouri state sealThe Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

 Accreditation by the Council on Occupational Education. 

The program is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Admission Requirements

Full admission requirements can be found in the student admission packet, or the student handbook.

Applicants must be at least seventeen years of age. 
Show certified evidence of graduation from high school or twelfth grade equivalency (Official Transcript and or GED test scores required).

Pre-Entrance testing:  TEAS VI Test of essential academic skills. An adjusted total individual score of 58% or greater is preferred.

    1. Hours of specific clinical rotations may vary based on the clinical site.   The student will be informed ahead of scheduled time to allow for planning.
    2. Additional schedules will be provided with classroom and clinical hours.

NOTE:  An evening and/or night rotation may be scheduled into the clinical rotation.  Students will be given adequate notice.  ***Please be aware that the Clinical rotation schedule, times, and/or location may change for various reasons****.   It is your responsibility as a potential nurse to be flexible and adaptable to change. 

 

Graduate Goals

After graduation students may apply to take the National Counsel Licensure Examination for Practical Nurse. Upon passing the NCLEX students become Licensed practical nurses. Entry Level Salary range is $10.00 to $15.00 per hour.
